Deborah L. Wheelock, 67, of Ludlow, died on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Springfield on March 8, 1954, she was the daughter of Marilyn E. (Hartman) Wheelock Rinaldi and the late Fred E. Wheelock. Deborah is survived by a son, Todd Wheelock and his wife Melissa; three brothers, Michael Wheelock and his wife Lonnie, John Wheelock and his wife Roxanne, and Raymond Wheelock; two sisters, Laurie McNamara and her husband Thomas and Kimberly Ward and her husband Bryan; a granddaughter, Rachel Bentley; two great-grandchildren, Chenoa and Nova Mestre; her special great-niece and great-nephew, Violet and Jalen Leonard; and several nieces, nephew, cousins, other family members and friends. She was predeceased by a sister, Karan Willard.
Deborah was a 1972 graduate of Commerce High School in Springfield. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, art and crafts, playing cards and dice. Her legacy will be her devotion to her family, especially as a “nanny” to her beloved nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank and recognize the staff at Baystate VNA & Hospice for the compassionate care given to her, especially Lisa Bourdo.
Calling Hours for Deborah will be held on Sunday, January 23, 2022 from 12-2pm at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield followed by a Memorial Service at 2pm. Burial will private at a later date.
