Debra L. (Hafner) Loranger, 70, passed away on October 17, 2025 in the care and comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Springfield on July 30, 1955, Debra was a lifelong resident who dedicated her life to caring for others. She spent over 30 years serving in home health care for the state and continued her work at the Gandara Center for an additional decade. Known for her strong work ethic and quiet compassion, Debra made a meaningful impact in the lives of those she cared for. Above all, Debra was devoted to her family. She played a vital role in helping raise her beloved grandson, Aaron, and her love and guidance will continue to live on through him.
She leaves her son, Richard Loranger of Indian Orchard and his girlfriend Glenda Cruz; her mother, Barbara (Hafner) Duran of Miami, FL; her brothers and sister: Raymond Duran of Miami, Bernard Kopecky of Springfield, Michael Barwick of Indian Orchard and Kathy Scott of Cambridge; her grandchildren, Aaron Loranger, Nicholas Loranger, Matthew Loranger, and Haley Cote, along with many nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends. She was predeceased by a brother, David and a sister, Candy.
All services for Debra are private to be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services.
