Devin Daniel Cave, 28, beloved son of Daniel Cave and Nichole (Koziol) Cave, passed away at home on Friday, July 11, 2025. Devin was born in Springfield on August 21, 1996, and was raised in Ludlow. He graduated from Ludlow High School in 2014. He had been a resident of Chicopee for the past four years. While at Ludlow High School, he won the school-wide Joshua Desforges Fitness Challenge. As a senior in high school, Devin pursued the Army National Guard and enlisted before graduation. His unit was later activated, and he was deployed to Egypt for a year. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant.
Devin will be remembered for his strong love for his family. He was a devoted older brother, and he cherished his younger cousins. He was full of empathy and compassion. He worked many different jobs in the restaurant industry and recently worked as a machine operator at the Calloway Golf plant in Chicopee. He will be greatly missed by all who crossed paths with him.
Devin is survived by his parents, his father, Daniel Cave and his fiancée Vanessa Ealum, his mother, Nichole Cave and her partner Nicholas Zaldivar, his two brothers, Ryan Cave of Springfield and Logan Cave of Ludlow, his grandparents, Colleen Cote and her husband Remi of Ludlow, Edward Cave and his wife Andra of Westfield, Shirley DeSimone and her husband Michael of Ludlow and Mark Koziol of Springfield, his aunts and uncles, Hillary Morrissette and her husband Jesse of Ludlow, Eric Cave and his fiancée Jennifer Aniolowski of Ludlow and Jamie DeSimone of Springfield, his step-brother Matthew Zaldivar and his step-sister Mariah Zaldivar, as well as many cousins and extended loving and close family members.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Calling Hours for Devin on Monday, July 21 from 5-8pm at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield.
Committal Services will be held on Tuesday, July 22 at 3pm at the Mass. Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam, MA, 01001. For those attending, meet directly at the cemetery and please arrive at the cemetery between 2:30pm-2:45pm.
