Diana M. (Martinez) Alexander

Diana M. (Martinez) Alexander, 71 of Hampden, died unexpectedly on March 9, 2020 at the Baystate Medical Center surrounded by her family. Born in Phoenix, AZ on July 18, 1948, she was the daughter of the late James and Cordelia (Gutienez) Martinez. Diana lived in Hampden for the past 37 years, and had worked as a waitress in several local restaurants until she retired. She loved the beach, eating lobster, cooking, singing and dancing and having a good time with friends and family. She loved being in her yard with the birds, her wind chimes, planting her flowers, and tending to her koi pond. She will also be remembered for her many seasonal yard decorations.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Robert S. Alexander, her son, Peter Donaldson of Wilbraham, her daughter, Patricia Healey and her husband Chris of Southwick and her four grandchildren that she adored, Jordan, Marissa, Sophia and Ava. She also leaves five sisters and one brother all living in California as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held for Diana on Friday, Mar. 13, at 11am at Nowak Funeral  & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield followed by burial in Hillcrest Park Cemetery, Springfield.
