Diane L. (Blizniak) Saltmarsh, 73, passed away January 27, 2024 at Baystate Wing Hospital in Palmer. She was born in Stafford, CT on December 15, 1950, daughter of the late Francis and Claire (Trudell) Blizniak. Diane spent her formative years in Somers, CT, and called Springfield home for 48 years. Diane dedicated many years of her life to her work as an assembler at Hasbro, retiring in 2018. Music was a constant source of joy and inspiration throughout her life. She had a large music collection and enjoyed listening to many genres of music. She enjoyed excursions to flea markets with her husband and her brother. Diane was always the one behind the camera, capturing the beautiful tapestry of her family's journey. Her photographs are a testament to the love, warmth, and joy that defined their shared experiences over the years. In addition, she found solace and joy in flower gardening and enjoyed attending car shows with her family.
She leaves a son, Lee Saltmarsh and his wife Michelle of Indian Orchard and a daughter Christine Saltmarsh of Belchertown; a brother Ted Blizniak and a sister Susan Robbins and her husband Rick, all of Somers, CT; 2 beloved granddaughters, Mariah Saltmarsh and Carly Robinson along with many other family members and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Jerry Saltmarsh, and a sister Louise Gonynor.
