Edward I. Alzak

Edward Alzak, of Indian Orchard Mass., passed away unexpectedly on November 19, 2021 at the age of 61. He leaves behind his two sisters Maryann and Karen Alzak and his son Edward Alzak. Aside from family he also leaves behind the Joanides family, Greg, Joanna, Peter and John.

Eddie, (what his close friends called him), grew up in the Hungry Hill section of Springfield back when times were “easy and simple”. He would always reminisce about “The good old days”. All the fun times he had with friends… Eddie loved being around people and he would never turn down a good old fashion debate, whether it be something in the news or current politics. He knew his stuff. He was very passionate about most things.

Family and friends were always entertained by his stories and hilarious sense of humor. He truly brought the life to the party.

His career was his passion, he loved working on cars. If there was one thing Eddie was, that was determined... No matter what the challenge or request, he gave his all to ensure he exceeded all expectations whether for himself or others. One of his quotes he lived by was “it gets done right the first time, cause it’s not getting done twice.”

He also enjoyed music (classic rock), movies and shows were his past time. He was a foodie, never would he miss a BBQ or holiday gathering. He doubled up on everything! Ed also enjoyed animals. He loved his cat Sylvester.

To end short and sweet: He was beloved by everyone who ever met him; a fantastic father, and a best friend to all who ever met him. No matter the circumstance, you'd always leave with a story of something funny/crazy Eddie did while you were with him.
