Edward Nowak

Edward Nowak, 80, a lifelong resident of Ludlow died Saturday, May 9, 2020 at the Mercy Medical Center in Springfield. Born in Ludlow on Oct. 27, 1939, he was the son of the late Paul E. & Stephanie (Karata) Nowak. Ed was a 1959 graduate of Ludlow High School and served his country as a member of the U. S. Army from 1959-1961. He worked for Digital for 22 years as a computer circuit tester. He also ran the family business, Nowak’s Auto Center, East Main St., Chicopee which was started by his father and his two uncles.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Rosemary (Guzik) Nowak, his daughter, Sharon Nowak of Sturbridge, a son, Edward Nowak, Jr. and his wife Laurie of Palmer, a sister, Carol Nowak LaPan of Holden, and three grandchildren, Joshua, Ryan and Nate.

Services for Ed will be held privately by his family. Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services of Springfield is assisting the family.
