Edward J. Ordynowicz, Jr., 76, passed away December 22, 2023 at Baystate Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Born in Springfield on May 5, 1947 to the late Edward and Jane (Chrusciel) Ordynowicz, he was a lifelong Springfield resident. Ed was a 1965 graduate of St. Francis High School in Athol Springs, NY and enjoyed attending many reunions with his best friend and classmate, Jack Wilonski. He was president and co-owner, along with his brother and nephew Rich, of Dyno Machine, Inc. of Ludlow for 45 years. Many summers were spent at Nauset Beach on Cape Cod with family and friends where he especially liked off-roading along the sand. He was a sports enthusiast, enjoyed playing cards, especially “Scat”, and will be remembered as an all-around great guy.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 56 years, Susan (Gebo) Ordynowicz; his children, Michael Ordynowicz of Indian Orchard, Kevin Ordynowicz and his wife Lori of Wilbraham, and Lori LaFountain and her husband David of Springfield; his brother, Richard Ordynowicz and his wife Maryann of Ludlow; his grandchildren, Miranda Ordynowicz, Emma Cotto, Army Specialist Jacob Ordynowicz, Owen Ordynowicz, Danielle LaFountain, Emily LaFountain, and Grace LaFountain; his great-grandchildren, Brielle and Marcus; his best friend, Jack Wilonski, his brother-in-law Kenneth Lamothe, along with several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Joanne LaMothe.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 with Calling Hours from 9am-11am at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave, Springfield followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:30am at Christ the King Church in Ludlow.
