Edward A. Zebrowski, 75, entered eternal rest at his home in West Springfield, on October 26, 2022. He was born to the late Edward and Alice M. (Hebert) Zebrowski, in Holyoke, MA. Edward was raised in Holyoke with his siblings and remained a lifelong area resident. As a young man, Edward joined the US Army and fought in the Vietnam War. He survived the TET Offensive of 1968 and was awarded many honorable medals, including the Purple Heart in 1969. Upon returning, he became a machine operator for a paper manufacturing company, Sonoco Paper, where he worked for many years.
Edward loved to watch WWF wrestling and western movies, especially the films starring John Wayne. He was an avid civil war buff with particular interests in Gettysburg and Abraham Lincoln.
He is predeceased by his parents Edward and Alice, and his brother, Steven Zebrowski of Hinsdale, who passed in 2021.
Edward is survived by his brothers, Stuart Zebrowski of West Springfield, Jerry Zebrowski and his wife Pamela of Chester, his sister, Janice Mercer of Chicopee, his best friends, Frank Welsh and Margaret, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service with military honors will be held for Edward at Hillcrest Park Cemetery, 895 Parker Street, Springfield, MA 01129, on Thursday, November 11, 2022, at 1pm.
