Emma DeZalia Obituary

Emma R. (Bergeron) DeZalia, 105, passed away April 12, 2020 at the Jewish Nursing Home in Longmeadow. Born in Green Island, New York on October 29, 1914, she was the youngest of 9 children of the late Rosario and Emma (Comtois) Bergeron. Emma worked at Mass Mutual in her younger years but her primary job was that of a homemaker for her family. She was an exceptional cook.

She leaves 2 sons, Peter DeZalia and his wife Joyce of Arkansas and Paul DeZalia and his wife Jean of Texas; her friend, Kathleen Hanifan of Chicopee; 5 grandchildren and many other family members and friends. Emma was predeceased by her beloved husband, Francis DeZalia in 2007.
