Eugene W. Bulat, 83, of Charlton and formerly of Indian Orchard, died at home on Saturday, June 17, 2023. Born in Cwikow, Poland on Feb. 21, 1940, he was the son of the late Stanislaw and Antonina (Rozkuszka) Bulat. Eugene came to this country in 1962 and had lived in the Indian Orchard section of Springfield for many years until he moved to Charlton five years ago.
He worked in area mills for many years, and later for Popko Realty in property maintenance for 15 years until he retired in 2017. While living in Indian Orchard, he was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. Eugene loved to cook and spend time in his flower and vegetable gardens.
He was the husband of the late Josephine (Cieplinski) Bulat, father of the late Eugene Bulat, Jr. and Krystyna Bulat and the brother of the late Kazia Bulat (his twin sister), Mary Miszewski and Stanley Bulat. He is survived by a daughter, Anna Robert and her husband Tom of Charlton, a sister, Josephine Nowak and a brother, Tadeusz Bulat both of Poland. Eugene was also predeceased by his furry grandchild, Kiwi ( beloved golden retriever).
Funeral Services for Eugene will be held on Friday, June 23, with Calling Hours from 9am-10:30am at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am at Immaculate Conception Church with burial to follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery.
