Flavio M. Cadete

Flavio M. Cadete, 70, of Ludlow died Monday evening, March 23, 2026 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Lourosa, Santa Maria da Feira, Portugal on October 7, 1955, he was the son of the late Manuel Oliveira Cadete and Ana Moreira.

Flavio came to this country in 2001 and made his home in Ludlow. He worked for many years as a construction laborer. Family was at the center of Flavio’s life and meant more to him than anything else. He was also known for his kindness and generosity, never hesitating to help anyone in need.

He is survived by his wive of 51 years, Olivia Gomes Cadete, his two sons, Nuno Cadete and his wife Susana, and Simao Cadete and his wife Ericka, all of Ludlow and his four beloved grandchildren, Lara, Santiago, Gabriel and Michael. Flavio is also survived by three brothers and four sisters in Portugal as well as many nieces and nephews. Though he is gone, his legacy of love, generosity and unwavering devotion to his family will remain with us always

Calling Hours for Flavio will be held on Saturday, March 28 from 10am – 12noon at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield, followed by a Prayer Service at 12noon, at the funeral home, officiated by Frei Pedro de Oliveira.
