Genowefa (Budzyna) Skora

Genowefa (Budzyna) Skora, 89, of Wilbraham, passed away peacefully at home on July 31, 2020. Born in Poland, daughter of the late Piotr and Emilia Budzyna, she immigrated to the United States in May 1972 and lived in Indian Orchard and most recently in Wilbraham. She was a faithful communicant of Immaculate Conception Church and St Elizabeth Parish. Genowefa worked for many years at Zero Corporation in Monson. In her younger years, Genowefa enjoyed baking, gardening and crocheting, but her greatest joy throughout her life was spending time with her loving family.

Gienia will be remembered affectionately as a loving wife, Mother, Babci and Prababci. She was predeceased by her husband, Mieczyslaw Skora; her son, Jan Skora; her brother’s, Piotr and Wladyslaw Budzyna; her sister, Alfreda Szczepanek; brother-in-law’s; Kazimierz Szczepanek and Jozef Motyka. She leaves her loving daughter, Danuta Racia of Wilbraham; loving son, Zbigniew Skora and his wife Teresa of Florida; loving daughter-in-law, Halina Skora of Florida.  Cherished grandchildren: Margaret Santos and her husband Luis; John Skora and his fiancé Melissa; Susie Skora and her fiancé Barry; Greg Skora; Tom Skora and his wife Sherley. Cherished great-grandchildren: Chad and Mia Santos; Jaelyn, Tanyon and Aubryn Skora; Austin Skora. Her sisters; Emilia Pierga and her husband Kazimierz Pierga; Maria Motyka; her brother, Stanislaw Budzyna and his wife Irena Budzyna; sister-in-law; Genowefa and Danuta Budzyna and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Genowefa will be held privately by her family. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 516 Carew St., Springfield MA 01104. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Beacon Hospice for their care and support. An extra thank you to Cheryl, Stella and Yvonne.
