George E. Perrault

George Edward Perrault, 85, passed away on September 13, 2023 at Baystate Medical Center. Born and raised in Springfield, he was the son of the late Andre and Ella (Richard) Perrault and was a lifelong area resident. At the young age of 17, George embarked on a remarkable journey by enlisting in the Air Force, where he served with dedication and distinction for 16 years as a military policeman. He graduated from Springfield Technical Community College with an Associates in Science degree.

George had a zest for life and embarked on many trips to Florida. His love for the open road was only rivaled by his passion for jigsaw puzzles, dominoes card games and his love for animals.  George loved his cars and changed them out every couple of years. As a self-taught handyman, he possessed an exceptional ability to fix and create, a skill that endeared him to family and friends alike.

George leaves his sisters, Susan Miffitt of Belchertown and Jeanne Morin of Leesburg, FL; a niece, Kathleen Tucker of FL and a nephew Gary Morisset of West Springfield. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Phyllis Morisset and a nephew, Luke Andre Rivers. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
