Gerald Flynn Obituary

Gerald F. Flynn, 77, passed away October 5, 2024 at Baystate Wing Hospital. Born and raised in Quincy, MA he most recently lived in Three Rivers. After completing high school, he answered the call of duty and served proudly in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Upon returning home, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a machinist and also worked as an automotive machinist for many years.

Gerald was a member of the Town River Yacht Club, where he found joy in boating and the vibrant community it offered. He loved spending time on the water and took pride in helping fellow members with boat repairs, often sharing his extensive knowledge and skills.

Gerald was known as a master storyteller. He had an incredible gift for weaving tales that were often sprinkled with humor, leaving his friends and family in stitches. His jokes and interesting anecdotes were entertaining and he had a unique ability to bring people together through laughter.

He leaves his wife of 38 years, Ruth (Spring) Flynn; his children, Arthur Croak and his wife Crystal of Jacksonville, NC, Steven Croak and his partner Gina of CT, James Croak of Monson, and Donna Croak and her partner Mike Samson of Three Rivers; his grandchildren, Nicole, Ashley, Amber, Milee, Michelle, Zachary, and Aleisha, along with several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
