Gertruda A (Dyrkacz) Przewozniak

Gertruda A. “Renia” Przewozniak (Dyrkacz), 77, departed peacefully on June 27th, 2021 at Mercy Medical Center after battling a long illness.  Born 04/18/44 in Poland to the late Stanislaw and Anna Dyrkacz, she emigrated with her family from Gdynia, Poland in 1990 and became a US citizen.  She was a hair stylist back in Poland and a very talented seamstress, designing and making beautiful wedding gowns and anything that her heart imagined.  She had a green thumb for gardening, which she very much enjoyed.  After moving to US, she worked for John Lyman Co. in Chicopee.

Wife of late husband Tadeusz Przewozniak for 45 years, she will be greatly missed by her two daughters Beata of Belchertown, MA (husband Piotr) and Katarzyna of Orlando, FL (husband Omar). She will also be sadly missed by her loving granddaughter Veronica.  She was predeceased by her daughter Malgorzata and brothers Edward and Mieczyslaw Dyrkacz and step-mother Zofia Dyrkacz. Renia leaves behind her sister Zuzanna Lakomska and brother in law Julian, brothers: Henryk Dyrkacz and sister in law Danuta, Andrzej Bartkowski and sister in law Zofia, sister in law Krystyna Dyrkacz, all of Springfield; and brother Miroslaw Dyrkacz of Enfield, CT, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends and family members in the US and Poland.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 with a Calling Hour from 8:30-9:30am at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Indian Orchard and then proceeding to Immaculate Conception Church for a funeral mass at 10:00am.
