Helen L. (Sienkiewicz) Young

Helen L. Young, 87, formerly of West Springfield, MA, passed away November 16, 2021, at Pine Heights in Brattleboro. Helen was born in Three Rivers, Massachusetts on April 15, 1934, the daughter of the late Joseph and Bella (Cichon) Sienkiewicz and attended local schools. She worked as a secretary and then as an CNA for many years. Helen raised her son and daughter in West Springfield and later moved to Springfield, and ultimately Bennington, Vermont to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren. Helen loved going to the casinos and spending time with her family and their pets.

She is survived by her devoted children Denise Foery (Bill) of Searsburg, VT and Dennis Young (Stephen Burkhardt) of Antrim, NH, stepdaughter Karen McKinney of Stormville, NY and her grandchildren Brendan and Ethan Foery.

At the request of the family a celebration of life will be Monday November 29, 2021, from 3pm to 5pm at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield, Mass.
