James L. Bailey

James L. Bailey, 76, of Springfield, died December 11, 2023 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Born in Springfield on July 7, 1947, he was the son of the late Raymond and Margaret (Robinson) Bailey. A lifelong resident of Springfield, Jim was previously a sanitation worker for the City of Springfield. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was an antique car buff.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Tina M. (Wilson) Bailey, his two sons, James Bailey and his wife Laurie of Ware and Timmy Bailey and his wife Natalie of Springfield, one brother, Michael Bailey and his wife Karen of Springfield, as well as his eight grandchildren, Kayla, Layla, Macy, James, Juliea, Timmy, Jr., Alyssa and Casey, and five great-grandchildren, Olivia, Juliana, Emma, Gianni and Karlee. He was pre-deceased by his brother, Edward Bailey and his sister, Marie Bailey.
