James W. Dufrane, Jr.

James W. “Jimmy” Dufrane, Jr., 54, a lifelong resident of Springfield, died at home on August 14, 2024 with his family at his side. Born in Springfield on October 16, 1969, he was the son of the late James W. Dufrane and June Anne (Wright) Dufrane.

Jimmy loved listening to music, playing his guitar, being outdoors, and if anything needed to get done he was there to help do it for his family and his friends.

He is survived by his life partner, Cherylann Drake, son, James Dufrane, III, daughters, Tonianne Silva and Melissa Vega, brothers, Alan and Tony, sisters, Laurie and Sandra, step-brothers, Timmy and Shaun, as well as seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Jimmy on Wednesday, August 21, with Calling Hours from 5pm-6:30pm at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield and a Service of Remembrance at 6:30pm.
