James R. LaRose

1946-2021

SPRINGFIELD

 

James R. LaRose, 74, passed away September 4, 2021 at Mercy Medical Center. Born on December 18, 1946 in Ludlow, MA, he lived in Indian Orchard for 12 years and attended St. Aloysius grammar school. In 1958, he moved to Springfield where he attended Trade High School. For 6 years, James served honorably in the U.S. Navy, 3 of those years in Vietnam. For 35 years, he owned and operated James Electric. He was a member of the American Legion Post 420 in Springfield and the VFW Post 7352 in Forest Park.

He leaves his wife Teina (Seymour) LaRose and step-children, Stephanie Kirkendall and her husband Scott of Florence, MA, James Leahy and his wife April of Chicopee and Christopher Leahy of Chicopee and grandchildren Ryan and Corey Kirkendall and Joey, Austin, Kaylee, and Tyler Leahy; his daughter, Joleen LaRose and her partner Ron Archer of PA and grandchildren Joshua Loze and Christina Pelletier; his brother, Kenneth LaRose of Springfield and nephews Dean and Jason LaRose of Springfield. James also leaves many other family members, friends and his beloved dog, Toby. He was predeceased by his first wife, Pamela (Perez) LaRose; his parents, Rita and Erwin Weinstein and a granddaughter, Danielle.

A Committal Service with military honors will be held on Monday, Sept. 13, 2021 at 10:00am at the MA Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam. Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services is entrusted with arrangements.
