James L. Mendenhall

James L. Mendenhall, 63, passed away September 3, 2024. Born in Springfield on June 24, 1961 to the late James Mendenhall and Melsa (Choquette) Dearborn, he was a lifelong Springfield resident. Cooking was Jim’s passion and he worked for many years working in food prep at several local restaurants. He was a WWE wrestling fan. He took great pleasure in listening to different music genres and attended many concerts, where he immersed himself in the joy of live performances.

He leaves his siblings: Debra Taylor and her husband James, Michelle Danek and her husband Walter, Paul Mendenhall, Kevin Mendenhall, Steven Mendenhall and his wife Paula, and Daniel Mendenhall; his step-mother, Lucy Mendenhall, along with several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Sheila Mendenhall.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2024 from 4-6PM at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services.
