Obituary
James Ciro Sroka, 68, passed away on January 26, 2023, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. Born in Springfield on July 26, 1954 to the late John and Irene (Francolini) Sroka, he was a longtime resident of Springfield. He was also a 20 years resident of Monson, where he enjoyed relaxing and enjoying the mountain views from his home. James joined the Navy in 1971 and served honorably during Vietnam. He loved working with his hands, being a self-employed carpenter, as well as woodworking in his free time. James was a great story teller. He loved spending time with his dog, Roughhouse. Most of all, James was a devoted father, grandfather and was a loving family man.
He leaves his son, James Sroka Jr. and his wife Shanna of Springfield; his grandson James Sroka III; his brother, John Sroka of New York; his wife, Anne Sroka of Arthursale, WV, as well as other family members and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Judy Franco.
