Janet (Larivee) Wierzbowaski, 93, of Ludlow, died at home on October 24, 2023. Born in the Indian Orchard section of Springfield on Aug. 22, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Edgar & Mary (Wasowicz) Larivee. Janet lived in Indian Orchard for most of her life before she moved to Ludlow in 2003.
She worked as a clerk at the former Forbes & Wallace and Two Guys department stores, and she was a member of St. Elizabeth Church in Ludlow. She enjoyed spending time with her family going out to eat, playing bingo and going to the casino. She loved doing puzzles and playing backgammon.
Janet was the wife of the late Edward L. Wierzbowski who died in 2002. She is survived by her six children, Susan Beauregard and her husband Thomas of Ludlow, Robert Wierzbowski of Springfield, Stephen Wierzbowski and his wife Laurie of Palmer, David Wierzbowski and his wife Arlene of Palmer, Anthony Wierzbowski and his partner, Edith of Florida and Donna Richardson and her husband Allen of Springfield, her brother, Edgar Larivee of Florida, her sister, Diane Marceau of Ludlow, as well as 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Janet will be held on Monday, October 30 with Calling Hours from 8:45am-10:45am at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Elizabeth’s Church, 191 Hubbard St., Ludlow at 11:15am and Committal Services in the Chapel of the Mass. Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Janet’s memory may be made to the Shriners Hospital, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA, 01104.
