Janyce A. LaMountain, 65, passed away December 2, 2024 at home. Born in Springfield on October 27, 1959 to the late Joseph and Anna (Balsom) LaMountain, she had resided in Springfield for most of her life and was a 1977 graduate of Commerce High School. For the past 5 years, she lived in Chicopee. Janyce worked for many years for USF&G Insurance. She found joy in feeding the birds and had a love of all animals, especially her beloved cat, Sammy. She enjoyed spending time at the ocean, particularly at Old Ocean Beach in Maine.
She leaves her siblings: Bruce and Wayne LaMountain of Springfield, Laurel Foley-Beauchesne and her husband Robert Beauchesne of Agawam, and Lorraine Champagne of Springfield; her partner and best friend, Tom Garde of Springfield and many nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, a brother Joseph LaMountain and sisters, Lois Whalen and Darlene Metcalf.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024 from 4-6pm at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services followed by a Celebration of Life at 6pm.
