Jay De Wilbur

Jay-De Wilbur, passed away after a lengthy illness on Dec 22nd, 2018 in his home in Springfield MA surround by family.  He was 58.   Jay-De was born in Cambridge NY on Oct 12, 1960.   He was the youngest son of late Kenneth C. Wilbur and Patricia (Gibbons) Wilbur.

Jay-De is pre-deceased by his oldest daughter, Joe-De Wilbur whom passed away in 2012, and his loving brother Edward who passed away March of this year.

Jay-De was a carpenter by trade, and had a passion for framing residential homes.

Jay-De’s greatest joy in life was spending time with his beloved wife Lori D Smith.   Jay-De dedicated his life to his wife and her happiness.

Jay-De was a lover of the outdoors, he was an avid hiker, animal lover, and traveler. 

Survivors in addition to his wife Lori, include daughters KayCe (Bennie) Wilbur, Dakota Wilbur, and Barbara (Jason) Dingman-O’Konski.

Jay-De leaves 6 siblings, Patricia Jean (Arthur) Stone, Cynthia (Richard) Flathers, Sherry (William) Malo,  Kenneth (Jackie) Wilbur, William (Christine) Wilbur, and Pennie (Kenneth) Brown. He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

The family wants to offer a very special thank you to his Son-in-Law, Bennie King, for the outstanding care that he has provided to both Jay-De and his family.  Ben’s continued care and support in the days to come will never be forgotten.

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
