Joe Ann (Dearing) Kiely

Joe Ann (Dearing) Kiely, 73, formerly of West Springfield, died Thursday, November 26, 2020 at Heritage Hall South in Agawam. Born in Springfield on Oct. 1, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Myrtle Ruth (Cooper) Dearing. Joe Ann started working for New England Telephone and retired from Verizon as an assistant manager after 23 years.

The wife of the late Dennis K. Kiely, she is survived by two brothers, Robert Dearing of Springfield and John R. Dearing of West Springfield, one sister, Mattie J. Gromacki of Springfield, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and her best friend of many years, Lynda.

A public walk-thru visitation (observing all COVID-19 protocols) for Joe Ann will be held on Monday, Nov. 30 from 9am-12noon at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield, with a Prayer Service at 12noon. Burial will take privately at a later date in the family plot in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Centerville. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Joe Ann’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
