John J. Dryjowicz, 85, of Ludlow, died November 1, 2024 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Born in Ludlow on May 25, 1939, he was the son of the late Joseph and Anastasia (Korsniak) Dryjowicz. John graduated from Ludlow High School in 1957. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany and Texas., 1958-1962 and again from 1976-1980, and was honorably discharged with the rank of sergeant. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, continued to be a part of the Army National Guard, and retired from his work as a laboratory technician at VA hospitals in Massachusetts and Connecticut.
The brother of the late Helen Dryjowicz, Anna Krupa Adele Kozlowski, he is survived by his sister, Irene Macutkiewicz as well as his nieces and nephews, extended family, friends, army companions, and neighbors.
Calling Hours for John will be on Tuesday, Nov. 12 from 5-7pm at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield. His funeral will be on Wednesday, Nov. 13, gathering at the funeral home from 10:30am-11:30am prior to leaving in procession to Immaculate Conception Church for his Funeral Mass at 12noon. Committal Services will follow with prayers and military honors in the chapel of the MA Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
