John Lizak passed away on April 8, 2022 at Baystate Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. John was born in Poland on July 11, 1954 to the late Jozef and Stefania Lizak.
He owned and operated Taylor Auto Sales and Service in Springfield since 1984. John’s customers knew they were in good and trustworthy hands. A faithful parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church, he volunteered at the annual Dozynki Polish Festival. John’s faith was unfailing. John is remembered as caring, gentle, selfless, and hardworking. He had a kind and loving heart and was always willing to help others. He asked for nothing in return. John was loved and respected by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten. John’s legacy will live on in his beautiful flower gardens. We will all miss his delicious baking skills. John was a loving husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, neighbor, and friend.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Sandy; his loving children, Janie and Paul (PJ); his sisters: Krystyna Kaczowka and Barbara and Kazimierz Wozniak; his sisters-in-law, Pat and Walter Kroll, Julie Chmura, Teresa Lizak, and Wladzia Lizak as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He also leaves his good friends, Victor and Lee Swist. John was predeceased by his parents; his brothers Stanley and Joseph; nephew, Mark; and mother and father-in-law, Jane and Joseph Chmura.
Calling Hours will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2022 from 2-5pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 11, 2022 assembling at 10am at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services and proceeding to Immaculate Conception Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Burial will follow at St. Aloysius Cemetery.
