Mr. Jose J. Alpiarca, 82, of Wilbraham, died at home on November 28, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Casa de Barreira, Portugal on December 27, 1942, he was the son of the late Manuel and Joaquina (de Jesus) Alpiarca.
Jose had been a resident of Wilbraham for many years and previously worked as a machine operator at American Saw until he retired.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Maria A. (Martins Ribeiro) Alpiarca, three children, Mario Jesus and his wife Domenica of South Deerfield, Isabel Silva and her husband Leonardo of Ludlow and Daniel Alpiarca of Ludlow, as well as his grandchildren, Kianna and Luis, Leonardo, Jr. and Nicole, Monique and Michael, Mario Jr., Devon, Alex, Miguel, Ariella, Gianna and Daniel, Jr., and great-grandchildren, Marlie, Natalia, Vincent, Lily and Exavian. Jose was predeceased by his two brothers and a sister.
Funeral Services for Jose will be held on Wednesday, December 3, with Calling Hours from 8:30am – 10am at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield, followed by his Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, 25 Parker St., Springfield. His committal will follow in the Most Holy Redeemer Mausoleum at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 421 Tinkham Rd., Springfield.
