Jose Dos Santos

Jose Dos Santos, 57, passed away February 3, 2020 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. Born in Sapelos, Portugal, he immigrated to the United States in 1978 and was an Indian orchard resident for 35 years. Jose worked as a machine operator for many years at various companies, most recently at Ludlow Construction. He was a member of the Lusitano Club of Hartford. A motorcycle enthusiast, he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson. He was a wonderful cook, particularly good at cooking a great steak and also made his own wine.

He will be dearly missed by his loving family: his wife of 39 years, Maria (Zina) Dos Santos; his children, Jason Dos Santos, Justin Dos Santos, and Marissa Dos Santos and her wife Zoe, all of Springfield; his father, Alvaro Dos Santos of Portugal; 5 grandchildren, Nathyn-Jae, Mollie, Anastasia and Ariella Dos Santos and Ava Walker; a sister, Natividade Rodrigues and her husband Alfredo of Portugal and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Isolate (Gama) Dos Santos.
