Jose Antonio Medina

Jose Antonio Medina, 69, of Springfield, died unexpectedly on Monday, July 26, 2021. Born in Isabela, Puerto Rico on July 30, 1951, he is the son of Lydia Medina  of Manchester, CT and the late Manuel Medina. Jose lived in Hartford, CT, Holyoke and South Hadley prior to Springfield where he lived for the past 20 years. He worked as a Mix Room Operator for James River Graphics/Rexam Graphics in South Hadley until he retired. 

In addition to his wife, Jose is survived by his children, Jose Medina, Jr. of San Diego, CA, Gladys Medina of Puerto Rico, Samuel Medina of Hartford, CT, Maria Medina of Springfield, Lourdes Ortiz of Springfield, Alma Berrios of Springfield, Denise Maldonado of St. Cloud, FL, Jormar Maldonado of Cape Coral, FL, Adela Maldonado of Concord, NH. and Jose was the father of the late Jorge Maldonado. Jose is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Elias Medina, Isaac Medina, his twin brother, Jose (known as Tocayo) Medina, Obed Medina, Esther Burgos, Rebecca Medina and Ruth Rodriguez, as well as 22 grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Manuel Medina, Jr. and Hector Medina.

Funeral Services for Jose will be on Friday, July 30, with Calling Hours from 10am-12noon at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield, with a Funeral Service to follow in the funeral home at 12noon, and burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Springfield.
