Joseph H. Bird

Joseph H. Bird, 102, of Palmer died Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at home.  Born in Worcester on  December 17, 1921, he was the son of the late Henry and Ida (Slater) Bird.   He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and retired from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Natural Resource Officer. 

 Joseph was predeceased by his wife of 76 years, Evelyn (Spooner).  He is survived by four children, Robert Bird and his wife Julia of Wales, Janet Bird and her partner Richard Bushey of Cabot, Vermont, Richard Bird and his wife Wilma of Hampden and Nancy Roy and her husband Daniel of Palmer.  Joseph is also survived by nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
