Julie F. Podosek, 99, formerly of Springfield, passed away December 2, 2019 at Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester. Born in Indian Orchard to the late Frank and Victoria (Mis) Podosek, she was a lifelong area resident. Julie worked at United Technologies and American Bosch as an administrative assistant for many years. She was a faithful parishioner at Immaculate Conception Church in Indian Orchard and belonged to its Polonia Club and volunteered at the annual parish picnic. A lifetime member of the Ludlow Country Club, she enjoyed golfing and was especially proud of hitting a hole-in-one.
Julie leaves her nieces, Sylvia Nascimbeni and Felicia Wojnarowicz and nephew Frank Podosek; her great-nieces and great-nephew and their spouses: Debra Nascimbeni and Jeff Stevens, Tina and Jim Flaherty and Michael and Patricia Swiech, along with many other family members. She was predeceased by her parents and her siblings: Stanley, John, Peter, Genevieve, Helen, Agatha, and Emily.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2019 with a Calling Hour from 10:00–11:00 a.m. at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Indian Orchard followed by a funeral mass at 11:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, Indian Orchard.
