Julius "Doozie" Williams Obituary

Julius Ray “Doozie” Williams, 65, passed away April 7, 2022 at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Monroe, Louisiana to the late Johnnie Campbell and Edna (Price) Campbell, he grew up in Bastrop, LA and then, as a teenager, moved to Springfield. He was a 1975 graduate of Commerce High School.  Julius served in the U.S. Army from 1976-1980. Most recently, he worked at the Amazon warehouse in Holyoke.

Julius was very involved in helping others through his volunteer efforts throughout the community. He was charismatic, gravitating towards others, loved talking to people, and always lit up the room. Doozie loved life, music, and his family. He will be remembered as a wonderful father and grandfather.

Julius was predeceased by his mother, father, his beloved daughter, Dominique “Nikki” Williams and a brother, Thomas Earl Williams. He leaves to cherish his memory, his son Julius Williams, Jr. and his daughter-in-law Kelly Nicholson of Ludlow; his daughter Stephanie Bruce of Springfield; his sisters Pamela Williams of Springfield, Jacqueline Williams of Springfield, and Brenda Campbell of Chicago, IL; a brother Joseph Campbell; his grandchildren Imani Williams, Jada Williams, Brooklyn Rochester and Kaydence Williams Bruce, Kaley Nicholson, and Khalisi Davilla, and many other extended family members and friends.
