Krystyna H. (Lizak) Kaczowka, 77, of Indian Orchard, passed away October 5, 2024 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by her family. Born in Swiebodrin, Poland on October 24, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Jozef and Stefanie (Zielonka) Lizak. Krystyna was a lifelong resident of Indian Orchard after she came from Poland with her family in February of 1967. She was a devoted member of Immaculate Conception Church and a member of the Rosary Sodality. She had previously worked in housekeeping for Health South in Ludlow. She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, but being with her family is what she enjoyed most. Her hard work and selflessness will always be remembered. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
Krystyna was predeceased by her husband, Stanislaw Kaczowka, her son Mark Kaczowka, and her brothers, Stanley, Jozef and John Lizak. She is survived by her sons, Richard and Michael Kaczowka both of Indian Orchard and her sister, Barbara Wozniak and her husband, Kazimierz of Ludlow. Her sisters-in-law Teresa, Wladzia and Sandy Lizak along with her many nieces and nephews.
The funeral for Krystyna will be on Friday, October 11, with Calling Hours from 8:30am-10:30am at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield followed by her Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church at 11am. Burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Contributions in Krystyna’s memory may be made to Immaculate Conception Church, 25 Parker St., Indian Orchard, MA, 01151.
