Linda Ann (Zaranek) Champigny, 75, passed away unexpectedly on July 31, 2022 at home. Born in Ludlow to the late Casimier and Wanda (Koziol) Zaranek, she was a lifelong area resident. Linda was a faithful longtime parishioner at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Springfield for many years and most recently attended St. Cecilia Church in Wilbraham. She owned and operated Hairstyles by Linda on Parker Street in Springfield and retired from United Bank, working for over 20 years. She enjoyed cheering on the Boston Red Sox and Bruins, listening to Polka music, and especially loved the holidays and family traditions.
Linda leaves her children, Michele Mariani and her husband Robert of Wilbraham and Marc Champigny and his wife Michele of Castleton, NY; a brother, Richard Zaranek and his wife Irene of Ludlow; her grandchildren, Samantha and Cameron Mariani and Elaina and Celise Champigny; a niece Pamela Kuhn of Belchertown and a nephew Michael Zaranek of Vernon, VT and their families, along with many close cousins, family members, and friends.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2022 from 4-7pm at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield. Burial is private at the convenience of the family.
