Linda Yarber, 73, long time community leader of Indian Orchard was called home on December 23, 2023 with family by her side. Linda was raised in East Windsor, CT and graduated from East Windsor High School. Pre deceased by her husband Bernard Yarber and survived by Vaughn Yarber, Keno White, Kenon White, Waileen Yarber, Yoan Marrero, Nyeshia Yarber, Taevon Yarber, Zeniyah Yarber, Giovanni Marrero, Keyonalis White, Kylanis White, and Kyaralis White.
Linda was well known for her work in the community dating as far back as the early 1990's where she worked alongside now Mayor Dominic J. Sarno, helping the youths of Indian Orchard towards a better path in life. She had an unwavering love for her community that was felt throughout the city of Springfield and beyond. Linda Yarber was not only a community stalwart, but also a loving mother who will be missed my many. Linda's legacy will continue to live on.
A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services.
