Marie (Kelichner) Lohr

Marie Lohr, age 71, sadly passed away on August 7, 2025.

She will be remembered for her kind heart and her many passions in life. She especially loved working on puzzles, baking cookies for loved ones, caring for animals, and sharing her beautiful crochet work. These simple joys reflected her warmth and the way she expressed love and care.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Lohr, her daughter, Sarah Engst, and son-in-law, Michael Engst, her grandchildren, Greyson McCormack and Payne Engst, her sister, Betty Heitzke; and her brother, Billy Kelichner.

She will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her.

A Service to honor her life will be held on Saturday, August 23, with Calling Hours from 11am – 1pm at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield, MA, 01151 with a Prayer Service to follow in the funeral home at 1pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Dakin Humane Society in recognition of her lifelong love of animals.
