Marilyn June (Kane) Peczka, 88, passed away December 31, 2024 at Care One at Redstone in East Longmeadow. She was born in Springfield on June 24, 1936 to the late John and Mary (Riley) Kane and was a 1954 graduate of Commerce High School. A member of the Daughters of Isabella and a member of the Wilbraham Democratic Club; she took pride in contributing to causes she believed in. She was also an avid reader. For many years, Marilyn was co-owner of the Wilbraham Flower Shop, where her warm personality left a lasting impression on those she met. She was always ready with a kind word or a compliment for anyone she encountered. Marilyn expressed her love and affection for her family and friends through the simple yet meaningful gesture of sending greeting cards for every special occasion.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 69 years, Stanley Peczka; her sister, Gloria Kane of Kissimmee, FL; her loving children, Michael Peczka and his wife Karen of Springfield, Stephen Peczka of Palmer and Kathleen Nelen and her husband Timothy of West Palm Beach, FL; a cherished granddaughter, Amanda Warren and her husband Kevin of Cranston, RI; two great-grandchildren, Jack and Brian Warren and an adopted grandson, Wil Aldrich. She also leaves other extended family members and many friends.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2025 from 2:00-4:00PM at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 6 assembling at 10:00AM at the funeral and proceeding to Christ the King Church, 44 Warsaw Ave., Ludlow for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM.
