Mark Stanley Kaczowka

Mark Stanley Kaczowka, 50, passed away at home on March 30, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Springfield on May 26, 1971 to Stanley and Krystyna (Lizak) Kaczowka, he was a lifelong Indian Orchard resident. He was a 1989 graduate of Springfield Central High School. Mark worked as a custodian at Minnechaug Regional High School in Wilbraham for over 20 years. He was a member of the Polish American Club of Wilbraham and the Polish National Alliance. A faithful parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church, he volunteered each year at the annual Dozynki Polish festival. Mark was an avid sports fan, especially of football, baseball, and was a proud season ticket holder of the Springfield Falcons and Thunderbirds. Mark is remembered as caring, kind and hardworking. He was a gentle man with a loving heart. Mark was always first to help others and never wanted anything in return, he will never be forgotten.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Krystyna Kaczowka and his brothers, Richard and Michael Kaczowka, all of Indian Orchard; his aunts and uncles: Barbara and Kazimierz Wozniak of Ludlow, John and Sandra Lizak of Wilbraham, Teresa Lizak of Chicopee, Wladzia Lizak of Chicopee; Zygmunt Kaczowka of CT and Frank Kaczowka of Poland, along with many cousins, other family members and numerous friends. He was predeceased by his father, Stanley Kaczowka and his uncles Stanley and Joseph Lizak. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Baystate VNA and Hospice for the compassionate care given to Mark.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 with Calling Hours from 8:30-10:30am at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield and proceeding to Immaculate Conception Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. Burial will follow at St. Aloysius Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception Church, 25 Parker St., Indian Orchard MA 01151.
