Mary F. (Grace) Boucher, age 99, of Springfield Ma. passed away peacefully at home on Jan 11, 2025. Born in Springfield on July 11, 1925. Loving wife of William A. Boucher. Daughter of Mary E. and Philip A. Grace. Sister of Philip J. Grace. Mother of James Boucher, Kathleen Haskins, Joyce Venne, Daniel Boucher, the late Laurie Boucher, and Jeanne Boucher. She leaves 13 grandchildren, 12 great grand children, and 3 great great grandchildren.
Our mom loved participating in her golf league, bowling league, and water aerobics at the ‘Y’. She was a Red Cross volunteer and life long care giver to our sister Laurie and anyone that needed it. She had a trail blazing spirit in search of inner peace and self knowledge. We believe the cause of death was old age, but she had dementia in the last 7 years of her life. She did not experience the agitation associated with dementia. Instead she had a kinder version of the disease. Although we like to believe her brain was still working, she had a limited vocabulary. All she could really say is “I Love You”, which perfectly captures the essence our mom and her life.
We will miss her greatly and know she is now happy with our dad in heaven.
So Rest In Peace, mom, “We Love You!”
