Michael G. Polk

Michael George Polk, 50, of Springfield, MA passed away unexpectedly at Baystate Medical Center on August 22, 2025. He attended and graduated from the Springfield Public School System. He lived and worked in Springfield for his entire life, working at companies such as the Post Office and Hulmes Transportation Company. Michael was an avid lover of DC and Marvel Comic Superheroes with his favorite Superhero being Superman. 

Michael was predeceased by his grandson Jalen, both his parents Lawrence and Almaglow Polk and his grandparents Clarence and Lynneth Little. 

To cherish his memory, he leaves his children Michael (Bianca), Te’Shawn, Jazleen, Malik (Julia) and Jordan; his grandchildren Saniyah, Josiah, Alaya and Yaniza and his beloved four legged girl Paige. He also leaves his brother Lonny (Debbie), nieces Lashaunda and Larisa, along with his great nephew Akeem; his beloved aunts Karene (Tony) Grant, Karen and Kerri Little, along with several other family members and friends. 

Calling and visiting hours will be held at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Avenue, Indian Orchard, MA on Friday, August 29, 2025 from 5-6pm followed by a Funeral Service from 6:15-7:30pm. Burial service will be private at the family’s request.
