Patricia A. (Berselli) Michela

Patricia A. (Berselli) Michela, 90, of Indian Orchard, died at her home on December 10, 2024. Born in Springfield on May 15, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Minnie (DiTomaso) Berselli.

She was a lifelong resident of Springfield, and loved her home in Indian Orchard where she tended to her garden and her flowers, and all of her animals. Patricia loved her community and was proud of her involvement with community policing. She served as a “lunch mom” at the Mary Walsh School for many years and spent 18 years as a crossing guard in Indian Orchard. She loved shopping for all things, clothes, shoes, and even found joy in grocery shopping at her favorite stores. Pat enjoyed line dancing and tai chi at the Ludlow Senior Center. She was happiest spending time with her family, with her daughters, granddaughters and great-grandchildren and extended family.

The wife of the late John Michela, she is survived by her daughters, Lisa Gamble and her husband Tracy of Westfield, and Lynn Michela Goncalves and her husband Joe of Springfield; two granddaughters, Grace Slesinski and her husband Ted, and Olivia Reding and her husband Josh; her three great-grandchildren, Aria, Mila and Iain, as well as her sister, Joyce DiMaio and her husband Al of Rhode Island.

Calling Hours for Patricia will be on Monday, Dec. 16, from 4-7pm at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield. Her funeral will be on Tuesday, Dec. 17, gathering at the funeral home at 8:30am and then processing to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church for her Funeral Mass at 10am. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery.
