Paul E. Ritz

Paul Edward Ritz, 55, passed away unexpectedly September 20, 2022 at Manchester Memorial Hospital in CT. Born in Berks County, PA, he was the son of Patricia (Fryberger) and the late Warren F. Ritz. He grew up in Pennsylvania and attended the Philadelphia Art Institute before becoming a longtime resident of Springfield and most recently Chicopee. As an automobile enthusiast, he spent many years working as a car salesman at several local dealerships, including Lia Honda and Key Hyundai.

Paul was an artist and enjoyed spending his time drawing, painting, creating memes while listening to his favorite Indie music and attending concerts. He especially loved spending time with his children, Evan and Jenna.

He is survived by his mother, Patricia (Fryberger) Ritz of PA, his son, Evan Ritz of OK, his daughter, Jenna Ritz of MA, his siblings and their spouses all of PA, Brenda O’Connell and her husband David , James Ritz and his wife Amy, Elaine Arters and her husband Matthew, his companion, Melissa McCaffrey, and many other family members and friends.

Calling hours to honor Paul’s memory will be held Friday, September 30 from 4-6pm at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Avenue, Springfield, MA.
