Paul F. Sherwood, Jr.

Paul F. Sherwood, Jr., aka “Freddy”, of Belchertown, MA passed away at age 83 on August 13, 2023 at his home with his wife, Jane, by his side.

He was born in Waltham, MA on July 3, 1940. He moved to Holyoke, MA where he lived until moving to Belchertown, MA. Paul and Jane moved to Belchertown in the late 1980’s, where they have been comfortably living since. He retired after 25 years of working at Major Wire in Chicopee, MA.

Paul had many skills ranging from automotive to carpentry. He was always excited and proud to show off his photo album of all the automobiles he owned during his lifetime to family and friends. He enjoyed long conversations about mechanics and classic car design.

Paul will be missed by many including his wife, Jane, his children, son Robert Sherwood and his wife Tina, daughter Robin Auld, son-in-law William Kelly, and was predeceased by his son Paul F. Sherwood, III and daughter Roberta Kelly. He leaves behind his grandchildren Christopher, Colin, Jeremy, Robert, Julie, Shaun and partner Scott, and Brett, and wife Kelsey, and his great grandson Camden. Paul also leaves behind his step-family, Lorrie Gagne and husband Mark Gagne and her two children Weston and Brittany Beal.

Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield, MA will be holding services with Calling Hours on Saturday, August 19, from 2pm-4pm.
