Robert "Bo" Reardon

Robert “Bo”, “Bob” Reardon, 71, passed away on September 27, 2022. He was born in Springfield on
May 26, 1951, to Robert and Marjorie Reardon. Robert graduated from Pascack Valley High School in
Hillsdale, New Jersey in 1969. Later in life, he received his Bachelor of Science focused on Education
from Springfield College. Robert was an extremely hard-working man, and he had a lifelong career as a
football coach, his one true passion. He coached at Springfield College, Western New England College,
Westfield High School, and finally retired at American International College and then came back as Head
Equipment Manager where he finally retired in 2021. Additionally, he spent 30 years managing
McCarthy’s Tavern in Springfield.

Before starting his family and career, Bo was an explorer who loved travelling the world. He was active
in his memberships as a Mason, Shriner, Lions Club of Hampden, and the National Football Foundation.
Robert shared a love for the theater, and he performed in the Hampden Theater Guild and entertained
yearly at the Annual Boar's Head Festival for his church, Trinity United Methodist. He was a well-
rounded spirit who loved people and loved being part of communities that would make the world a
better place.

Bo is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Debra (Yvon) Reardon; his daughters, Jennifer Reardon of
West Springfield, Kimberly Laux and her husband Eric of Marlborough, and Allison Reardon of Palmer;
his brother, Steven Reardon of Gainesville, FL; his grandchildren, Connor Snelling, Lincoln Laux, and
McKinley Laux, as well as many other family members, friends, colleagues, players, coaches, and the list
goes on and on.

Services for Robert will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church, 361 Sumner Ave, Springfield on
Saturday, October 1, 2022 with Calling Hours from 9:30-11am followed by a funeral service at 11:30am.
