Rockwood James Lavalette, 71, formerly of Enfield Street in Indian Orchard, passed away September 18, 2020. He was born in Springfield, Vermont on March 2, 1949 to the late Harold and Katherine (Frey) Lavalette. Rockwood served in the United States Army during Vietnam. For over 40 years, he worked as a truck driver for various shipping companies.
He leaves sons Matthew and My; daughter Katherine; brothers Ron, Paul, and Peter; sister Linda; grandchildren Loan, Carrissa, Austin, Ngoc, and Evan, along with many other family members and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Martha (Read) Lavalette in 2012.
A public walk-thru visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 5:00-7:00pm at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield.
Family and friends are invited to attend a committal service with military honors on Friday, October 2, 2020 at 10:00am at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam.
