Rose M. (Richardson) Dennis

Rose Marie (Richardson) Dennis, 79, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 15, 1946, in Ludlow, she was the daughter of the late Anna M. Richardson. Rose was raised in Ludlow and was a proud graduate of Springfield Trade School.

Rose built a life centered on strong family values, guided by her deep devotion to those she loved and enriched by the kindness and loyalty she so freely shared with friends. She worked for several years as an activity director at FairLanes Bowling Center, where she was known for her warmth, compassion, and spunky wit that brightened the days of all who knew her. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her family and friends, especially cherishing moments with her beloved grandchildren.

Rose leaves behind the love of her life, her husband George, with whom she shared 58 years of a happy and devoted marriage. She is also survived by her son, Robert and his wife Rachel of Hampden, MA; her daughter, Annette Danio and her husband Wade of Springfield, MA; and her cherished grandchildren, Kayla Stevens and her husband Justin of Ohio, Anna Dennis of Hampden, and Kevin Niemiec, who is currently serving his country in the United States Air Force. She also leaves two great-grandsons, Promethius and Eli Robert, as well as many beloved cousins whom she held close to her heart. In addition to her mother, Anna Richardson, Rose was predeceased by her brother, Alexander Richardson. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Indian Orchard from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:00 p.m.
