Simone (Cote) Machnik

Simone Adrienne Machnik, 71, died February 14th 2022 peacefully in her sleep at Wing Memorial Hospital in Palmer, Ma.Simone was born on May 18th, 1950 in Springfield, Massachusetts to Armand and Jeannette Cote. The youngest of four sisters, she earned two Masters Degrees and had a successful career as a French teacher, and eventually as a guidance counselor, in Chicopee Public Schools.

She married Mark Machnik on August 7th 1982. Together they raised four sons, Joshua, David, Matthew, and Justin. She was actively involved in the running of Boy Scout troop 161 from Palmer where all of her sons became Eagle Scouts. In her spare time she liked reading and playing with her grandchildren. She was an avid Boston Bruins fan, and enjoyed many hours watching ice hockey. She was passionate in her faith for God, and had a deep love for her family.

She is survived by her husband Mark, her four sons, two sisters, two daughters in law, and seven grandchildren.
