Stacia “Estelle” (Chrusciel) Orszulak, a longtime resident of Springfield, passed away on October 14 at the Acts Bayleigh Chase retirement community in Easton, MD, where she had lived for the past three years. She was 97. Born in Springfield to the late Albert and Mary (Brach) Chrusciel, she was a communicant for many decades at the Immaculate Conception Church in Indian Orchard, where she once served as a secretary to the pastor. She was a member of the Senior Club, Rosary Sodality, Polonia Club, and the Polish-American Auxiliary in Wilbraham. Stacia worked for 27 years as the office manager at the Nixon Co. in Indian Orchard. Still energetic and not ready for retirement, she went on to work for Allstate Life Insurance Co.
She is predeceased by her husband, Stanley Orszulak; her brother, Stanley Chrusciel of Springfield; and her three sisters, Stella Tokarz and Jane Ordynowicz, both of Indian Orchard, and Helen Przybylowicz of Chicopee.
Stacia is survived by many nephews and nieces, including Kenneth and Karen Tokarz of Easton, MD, and Cynthia and Bob LaGrange of Ashland, MA.
The family would like to thank the loving and caring staff at Acts Bayleigh Chase and at Talbot Hospice for their unerring compassion and kindness. Instead of flowers, please consider making a donation in Stacia’s memory to Talbot Hospice, 586 Cynwood Dr., Easton, MD 21601.
